about

In a short burst of creativity, productivity, and confidence all starting with a dare to write a song about syrup, these songs were willed into existence and then recorded soon after. Songs do come from somewhere after all, but no one really knows where. I'd like to believe they come from experience, all the best songs are biographical or historical in some way. These songs may be somewhat fictional, but they are grounded in the same reality we all claim to exist in. I'm fairly proud of it, especially in the moments that they came from, during a time such as this. Will I elaborate any more on these songs and what they mean? No, not really. The songs aren't really for me, they are here for you. You have ears and an imagination, so let that be your guide instead.

Remember to stay safe, have fun, drink some water, and always tell them you love them, whoever they might be.

Thank you to -
Kit for making the art work for the album (I love you)

Artemis for daring me to write a song about syrup and then making good on that dare when it happened

Annie and Rowan for being so moved by the first song which compelled me to write with honesty

Andy, Ryan, Molly, Will, and my mother for listening to the songs after I recorded them and sent the MP3 files over text (I guess y'all got the preorder/early access version)

Anyone and everyone who has listened to this collection, in full or in parts, once or a thousand times. I literally would not be able to do it without you to listen in on the final results.
